Chlamydia STD Testing

Chlamydia is an STD caused by the bacterium Chlamydia trachomatis. It is often asymptomatic. Most people show no symptoms. If symptoms do appear, they typically appear one to three weeks after exposure or sometimes longer. It can cause burning urination, abnormal discharge, and abdominal pain.

Women may have abnormal vaginal discharge (which may have a strong odor), burning during urination, pain during intercourse, lower abdominal pain, nausea, fever, and bleeding between periods.

Men may have discharge from the penis, burning during urination, burning/itching around the penis opening, and pain/swelling in the testicles.

If infection is found, treatment will be sent to the pharmacy you tell the provider.

The test will be conducted by a urine sample.
